Description

My clients have a vacancy for a Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for Emergency Critical Care work. Based within their Cheshire Hospital, they are a well-equipped RCVS ECC practice standards hospital and you will be working within a referral setting with a varied and exciting ECC caseload.

The position is for a weekend only daytime vet working 7am to 7pm Saturday & Sunday on a 1 week on 1 week off basis. Your main responsibilities will be to undertake emergency out of hours consultations, look after inpatients, undertake some emergency procedures and admit patients for hospitalisation. They are looking for a confident caring veterinary surgeon who will play a key role in managing a busy caseload working in a supportive environment with qualified Nurses, Kennel Assistants and another Vet from 2pm.

The practice is close to the border of Wales, approximately 40 minutes' drive to Manchester & Liverpool Airports, there are also fantastic transport links to London.

Their premises have had a major refurbishment and the hospital offers a superb environment in which to develop your skills alongside an onsite multi-disciplinary referral hospital. They also offer regular in house training on site delivered by one of their own Specialists.

The position offers an attractive rota in a shift pattern that gives substantial down time away from the practice and would suit an experienced vet with a keen interest in ECC.

Benefits include:

  • 5.5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays,
  • Ccompetitive salary,
  • Full support given to anyone wanting to gain a certificate in ECC or CertAVP,
  • Professional membership fees paid including RCVS fees,
  • Access to a pension scheme
  • Flexible benefits scheme offering a variety of staff discounts.
