My clients are looking for a full time Veterinary Surgeon with clinical experience working in the United Kingdom. They must also have an Official Veterinarian qualification and a clean, UK driving licence. A certificate holder would certainly be considered but not essential, they are looking for someone with an interest in orthopaedics and exotics. The position will mainly involve consulting, working up cases both medically and surgically and routine operations. But also assisting where necessary to support other members of the team in their job roles too.
My clients are currently an RCVS accredited, Two Veterinary Surgeon soon to be three, small animal practice. They have digital x-rays, endoscope, ultrasound, and all the usual toys. They are a small, kind, friendly team, with qualified veterinary nurses, animal care assistants and a veterinary physiotherapist.
My clients also have access to a mobile specialist cardiologist, ultrasonographer and orthopaedic surgeon allowing you to manage cases predominantly in house.
However, they are also located within a reasonable distance from many excellent referral centres and have access to CT and MRI scanners locally. They have a varied case load including treating exotics and an interest in behavioural medicine.
This has led to their fear free approach to patients in practice and they would want the new colleague to become familiar with this regime. They can provide tea, cake, and lots of fun if you join this quirky team! The practice ethos is to be kind, caring, and compassionate to patients, clients, and colleagues.
