Our clients are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their friendly team! This role requires the successful candidate to provide a high standard of Veterinary Nursing and to provide an excellent level of customer care, client education and to promote preventative health care.
The required duties of this role include preparing animals for theatre, monitoring anaesthetics, assisting in theatre if required, positioning animals for x-rays, performing nursing procedures as detailed under Schedule 3 of the Veterinary Surgeons Act, providing intensive nursing care to hospitalised patients, performing detailed and accurate kennel rounds, performing in house laboratory tests.
This is a full-time position working an average of 37.5 hours, 5 days a week, 1 in 10 weekends and no OOH.
The hospital services include CT scanner, digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, In-house blood machines, capnography, physiotherapy, cardiology, and orthopaedics.
The ideal candidate must be a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a minimum of 1 years experience in small animal practice. Career development, knowledge and experience can be gained in this position due to the practice having a large team of vets and nurses to provide training, guidance, help and support.
