My Client are a progressive, proudly independent Practice with state of the art surgeries and strong values. They have multiple surgeries, which are light, spacious and airy for patients, customers and the clinical team. They continue to invest and evolve and have a further surgery opening in September; for which this role will be allocated to.
As a key member of this Surgery’s Management Team, this role will spearhead the specialist surgical agenda, whilst also taking responsibility for driving excellence in customer service and clinical care, promoting pet wellbeing, delivering preventive services and treating sick and injured pets.
This position has a specific focus on enhancing specialist surgical procedures, increasing the credibility of the practice and upskilling colleagues in order to become a centre of excellence.
The Senior Veterinary Surgeon must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability. The role is based in a fast-paced environment and you would need to lead by example. It requires a commitment to proactively developing ones own skills whilst completing CPD in accordance with our client's and the RCVS requirements.
Strong communication, organisational and people management skills would be essential and the post holder must demonstrate empathy, kindness and compassion, whilst also being calm and confident under pressure.
General veterinary activity forms part of the role when no specialist surgical cases are scheduled.
