The practice is committed to developing its vets and nurses clinical and surgical skills and driving innovation in pet care. Their protocols and standard operating procedures are designed to facilitate an excellent standard of care and all staff should follow these to the best of their ability. You will have a duty to report any difficulties in understanding the working procedures and come forward with suggestions for development. All staff are committed to: Providing the best patient care, caring for the pet owners with understanding and compassion, honest, proactive communication with pet owners and referring vet practices at every step of the referral journey. Showing pride in the presentation of the practice through care of the facilities and personal appearance and demeanour. Treating the internal and external client with care and respect. Assisting the Client Advocate in their role of ensuring the best possible communication between pet owners, referring vet practices, professional contacts and companies with whom they do business with.

The role of the nursing team is to provide constant care to the patients, empathy and understanding in their communication with pet owners and referring vets, and to assist the surgeon and vets in their day to day duties. Provision of 24 hour inpatient and outpatient care. The role of the nursing team is to provide care for the patients at all times, working on a rota with other nurses. They are the first port of call for all out of hours communications. The nursing team should ensure that they fulfil the CPD requirements of the RCVS.
