Our clients are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join the team in Hampshire.
They are ideally looking for a candidate with at least 3 years UK experience. A certificate holder and LVI would be advantageous, but not essential.
The team consists of 5 veterinary surgeons (varying in experience from a new graduate to over twenty years’ experience). They are supported by six registered veterinary nurses, one student veterinary nurse, one veterinary care assistant, eight receptionists, and the practice manager.
The practice is built to industry leading standards and includes standard and dental digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, four consulting rooms, individual cat and dog wards, isolation and an onsite operating theatre.
Our clients would be happy to consider both a full or part-time role for the right candidate – full-time being 40 hours per week. Weekends are on a rota basis with 1 in 6 full weekends and a 1 in 6 Saturday in addition to this (equivalent to 1.5 weekends in 6).
You should be a proactive Veterinary Surgeon with solid surgical and medical skills. You will need to be competent with all routine surgical procedures, and will need to be a strong team player, confident in assisting the more recent graduates in case work ups, who is keen to be involved and work alongside them. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the role, delivering excellent patient and client care, and enjoying the variety the role will bring.
In return our clients can offer you:
- 4 day working week
- No OOH
- Competitive salary dependant on experience
- Contributory pension scheme
- 5.5 weeks holiday including bank holidays, increasing to 6.5 weeks after 2 years of service

- Generous CPD allowance of up to £1500 over 5 days per year
- Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS, etc.)
- Private medical insurance
- Income protection
- Sickness pay, based on length of service
- Discounted veterinary fees
- Instore, online and mobile app discount schemes
