Meet the team
Justin has worked in Veterinary recruitment since 2009 and has worked with clients all over the UK.
Having written webinars for the BVNA and other clients, Justin was also asked to be a guest lecturer at the 2017 BVNA Congress. Justin also attends universities and colleges to give talks to students in regards to how they may wish to take their Veterinary career.
Justin is a firm believer in giving back to the Veterinary community so organises many events for charities based within the Veterinary industry and for 2019 this is VetLife.
Away from work, Justin enjoys playing golf and represented the England Golf Captain’s team in 2018.
Some of you may know of Justin as the only person to arrive at the BVNA 2018 party night in a fancy dress costume, when it wasn’t a fancy dress party!
Lydia has been working for JHP Recruitment since the company started. She is the Accounts Manager and looks after the sales and purchase ledgers. She has worked in an accounts role since 2005.
Lydia enjoys working at JHP as likes the fast pace and the friendly team environment.
Outside of work Lydia enjoys going to the gym, reading and spending time with her 2 young boys, who have two rabbits called Snowball and Midnight.
Veterinary Divisional Manager
Josh has worked for JHP Recruitment since May 2016 and works with clients and candidates all over the UK.
Josh has delivered webinars for The Webinar Vet on various topics, he also attends colleges and universities to deliver talks and provide advice to final year students. One of Josh’s proudest achievements to date since joining JHP is winning “Favourite Speaker of the Year” at The Vet Trust Awards in November 2018.
Outside of work, Josh has two young children who keep him on his toes! He also enjoys playing 5 a side football on Sundays.
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Natalie has been working at JHP Recruitment since 2016 and loves what she does. Natalie is the head of one of our teams and has 4 other consultants who work with her. Natalie is a real people person and loves building a rapport. She has a great relationship with both candidates and clients, which makes the job easier and more rewarding for her.
Outside of work Natalie is a social butterfly, she regularly goes to watch her local rugby team Exeter Chiefs and goes out and socialises with friends, she normally has a glass of fizz or a Martini in her hand. Natalie loves her holidays and tries to visit at least 2 new places each year, just to tick them off her bucket list, even if it’s just for a weekend adventure. This year Natalie’s new places to visit are Limerick and Pau in France.
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Kamz has been at JHP Recruitment since August 2017 and in February 2020 he was promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant. Kamz works on both locum and permanent positions. His favourite part of the job is the wide range of people he gets to speak to on a daily basis and the feeling of being able to positively influence candidates careers.
When Kamz isn’t working he is most likely be found in a swimming pool! He’s played water polo since he was 6 years old and has represented GB at European competitions. Kamz has 2 cats, Lava and Rocky who spend most of their time at the foot of his bed.
Senior Recruitment Consultant
Abbie started working at JHP Recruitment in 2017 and loves her role. In February 2020 she was promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant. Abbie is most at home when she is on the phone liaising with her candidates and clients, she is very passionate about creating strong relationships. In June 2019 Abbie visited The Royal Veterinary College and gave a talk to over 50 veterinary students about their future careers.
Before joining JHP Abbie spent 7 years working in veterinary practices in various places such as Wales and Scotland, starting off as a VCA and building up to a Practice Manger. Her last veterinary job was running a first opinion practice in New Zealand.
In Abbie’s spare time she can usually be found knee deep in mud looking after her 2 horses Lulu and Hector, both of which keep her very busy. She also has a rescue cat called Wally who she rehomed from the Cats Protection. Abbie also loves to travel and has visited many countries.
Joe has been working at JHP since March 2018 and really enjoys the fast paced nature of the role and the relationships he gets to build with both clients and candidates.
Away from work Joe enjoys reading and keeping fit, he is a keen runner and also enjoys yoga and a long energetic walk. Joe also races competitively with his cycling club at a Regional and National level.
Louisa has worked at JHP Recruitment since October 2018 and is responsible for invoicing and paying locums. Louisa has worked in accounts since 1998 and is great with numbers. Louisa loves being part of the JHP Team and working in a busy office environment.
When Louisa isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 young children who keep her very busy and they also have a dog called Duggy. Louisa is very social and enjoys spending time with friends over a glass of fizz.
Jo joined the JHP Recruitment Team in February 2019 as the Compliance Manager, Jo has done similar compliance and regulatory work before and is very organised and has a keen eye for detail. Jo enjoys the variety of her role as every day is different and challenging.
When Jo isn’t working she enjoys socialising with friends, eating out, reading and going on bike rides and nice walks. Jo is also a keen traveller and likes to travel abroad at least twice a year to explore somewhere new.
Admin / Compliance Assistant
Rhianna first started working at JHP in 2018 when she did a week of work experience. Since finishing school Rhianna has become a full time member of the team and she helps with compliance and admin tasks. Rhianna enjoys working at JHP due to the fun office environment and varied workload.
In her spare time Rhianna enjoys spending time with her family, she has 3 brothers and 4 sisters, they regularly go out as a family and enjoy going swimming and to the beach.
Josh joined JHP Recruitment in March 2019 and thoroughly enjoys his job. He finds it very rewarding helping others achieve their goals and enjoys liaising with his candidates and clients.
When Josh isn’t working he enjoys spending time with his friends and his girlfriend, who is a Registered Veterinary Nurse. Josh is a keen footballer and has played in local leagues since he was 7.
Joe has been working at JHP since May 2019 and loves the buzz recruitment gives him and he really enjoys helping clients and candidates discover what JHP can do for them.
In his spare time Joe is very social and enjoys spending time with friends and playing football. Joe also enjoys travelling to exotic places, his favourite place he has visited was Thailand.
Jess joined the JHP Recruitment team in July 2019. Before this Jess worked in various veterinary practices for the last 6 years and has been a Registered Veterinary Nurse for the past 2 years, so she is very familiar with the veterinary industry. Jess made the move to recruitment as she wanted a new challenge within the industry. Jess is enjoying working at JHP as loves that everyone is sat together to work and that the team enjoy being at work.
Outside of work Jess has her own pet portrait business, so spends a lot of time doing that. Jess also has a dog called Thor and a rabbit called Merlin.
Mike joined the team at JHP Recruitment in January 2020 and is responsible for recruitment consultation across the United States of America. He really enjoys the challenge and the diversity of the role. Most importantly he loves the team and the environment at JHP.
Outside of work, Mike is married with a young family of 3 sons. Football is his hobby, and whilst his legs are perhaps a little too old to play himself anymore, he spends a lot of time coaching with his grassroots team and as part of the youth setup at Exeter City FC. He has achieved an FA level 2 qualification and will be working towards level 3 later this year.
He loves to be outside and has a Springer Spaniel called Barnaby.
